Ask for Pam

Concept photograph: the back of a head of freshly finished cornrows with clean, even parts, lit warmly against a deep brown background.
Concept render — your own finished work replaces it

UpTown Hair Studio is Pam Jones' shop. Her name is on the Instagram, the number in the bio is the one that rings, and to most of the people who sit in her chair the place isn't "the salon" at all — it's Pam. They ask for her by name.

She has been doing hair in South Jackson long enough that clients bring their daughters in. Long enough to outlast a move down the road, a whole strip of storefronts that came and went, and every trend that passed through in between. That is not a small thing, and it is not something a new shop can buy. It is the entire reason this page leads with her instead of with a list of services.

She calls it the Total Hair Care Salon, and that phrase is doing more work than most salon taglines do. It isn't a promise about one look. It's a promise that whatever your hair needs that week — washed, treated, cut, pressed, braided, or honestly just left alone — it gets handled in one chair, by someone who has seen your hair before.

“What God has for me its for me!”
— Pam Jones, written in her own Instagram bio for the shop

That is the line she picked to describe her own business with. Nobody in marketing wrote it for her, so nothing on this page is going to replace it with something smoother. It stays exactly as she typed it.

She runs UpTown Events alongside the studio, both under her own name. Two businesses, one person, twenty-plus years in the same part of town.

“I've gotten hair care services from Pam Jones, and she is quick, fair priced, and does a very excellent job with my hair. She's the only reason I come back.”

What is actually real on this page

Real: the name, the tagline, Pam Jones as owner, the address and phone number taken from UpTown's own Instagram bio, the Facebook engagement figures (840 followers, 96% recommend, 24 reviews), the customer review above, and her motto — quoted exactly as she wrote it. Not real yet: every photograph here is AI-rendered concept art, and every service name, price and duration is a stand-in. The years-in-business figure and the opening hours came off third-party directories, so they are flagged on the page until Pam confirms them. None of this gets published as-is.

The Receipts

You already have the hard part

26YRS
In business  ·  same corner of Jackson

This is the biggest number Pam owns and it belongs at the very top of her own website. One business directory lists the studio at 26 years; another only says "over ten." I am not going to quietly pick the flattering one and print it — tell me the year you opened and the real figure goes right here, in exactly this size.

The shape of a menu

Not the menu itself. These are the broad categories almost every full-service hair salon runs — they are here to show the layout, and they get replaced word for word with yours.

I don't know your prices, so I didn't make any up

There was no service list or price sheet visible anywhere public, and guessing at them would be the fastest way to put wrong information about your shop on the internet. So this section carries no prices and no durations at all — only the shape they would sit in.

One of your reviewers already said it better than a price list would: "quick, fair priced." Send me the real menu the way you'd say it out loud to somebody in the chair, and it goes in exactly like that — including anything the six categories above get wrong.

Hi Pam, this is [your name]. I found UpTown Hair Studio online and I'd like to book an appointment. Looking for: not sure yet, happy to talk it through. Best day: whatever works for you. Best time: whenever you have room. Let me know what you have open. Thank you!

Reviewers say she keeps appointments well and takes walk-ins when she can — but a text ahead is how you get the time you actually want.

This is a sample, not a bill

D Builds  /  Jackson, MS

Ms. Jones — I built this on my own time so you could see it instead of imagining it. Nobody asked me to, and there's no invoice attached to it.

Here's why I picked your shop. 840 people follow the Facebook page, close to 2,000 follow the Instagram, and 96% of your reviewers recommend you — after two decades of doing this in one neighbourhood. Most shops never get that. But uptownhairstudio.com expired, and today it loads a domain-resale parking page instead of your salon. All that word of mouth has nowhere of your own to land.

The part that actually costs you money is smaller and worse: your listings don't agree with each other. Your Instagram says 1700 University Blvd, Suite S-25. Yelp still says Terry Road. Two different directories print a phone number that isn't the one in your bio. So somebody who heard about you from a friend this week has a real chance of calling a dead number or pulling up at the wrong building — and you never find out it happened. One page that you own settles all of it, because everything else eventually points back at it.

Every photo here is AI-rendered concept art and every service is a placeholder. Your real photos, your real menu, your real hours and your real prices replace all of it the moment you say go — and it lives in your accounts, your domain, your name, not mine. The booking link is already live and already yours: it just texts your phone.

If it's a no, keep the file. Costs you nothing either way.
